View Full Version : Attack Rating Goal for Ubers

I currently have a Frenzy Barb I am making to slay Uber Tristan. I am Dual Wielding two BotD and my attack rating is right at 7k with Frenzy. I hear that AR is the most important part of killing ubers for a barb, so am I way off?

I plan on using a Blessed Aim Act 2 merc to help my AR, but I am pretty sure he will die a quick death in Uber Tristan. Is there anything that can be done about that too? Thank you in advance

Your "To Hit" chance is also heavily influenced by your level. I'd shoot for about twice your current AR and at least level 85.

I'm guessing you aren't using a Metalgrid; that will help a lot. Other than that you'll probably need to get a few nice AR/life charms.

You are right about the merc in Trist. It will be very difficult keeping him alive even with perfect gear, so don't count on help from him.

angelic set is NOT frenzy recommended items, so no, problem NOT solved, omg.
you need around 12-15k att rating, and to do this requires Sharp grand|small charms stacked to the max... with life bonus the second mod.

i dont mean to be a jerk but i have never heard of any sharp small charms before, only fine small charms. from what i read sharp only spawns on large and grand charms, not that it matters because 2 fine small charms pretty much = 1 sharp large one, damage-wise that is. sharp grand charms take the cake when it comes to most +to max damage on charms economicly speaking inventory-wise

attack rating wise i think fine small charms would be the most bang for your inventory space though, but i am not sure

i'm doing okay on ubers with a frenzy barb at lvl 84 with about 10k AR. I'm sure I could be doing better, but a ravenfrost goes a long way. Same with AR/Max GCs. If you can get them with life as a 2nd mod, you'll be doing real good.

I use highlords/Ravenfrost/rare AR+Dual Leech ring with a pinch of resists most of the time and I feel pretty solid regarding AR. My dex is about 136, which is due to the fact that I need it for a Grief Phase Blade. That gives my AR a good bump. Angelic is good for leveling and PVP but all it's good for in PVM is AR. I guess if you're getting lots of leech, resists, stats or whatever else it would work but I don't recommend it either.

Also, Demon Limb RULES for the enchant/AR boost. Plus on a Death CB it looks really cool, with Venom and Enchant going at the same time!
