Range of ranged weapons while shape shifted?

What would be the attack range of buriza wielding wolf, for example?
Would that change based on bow vs. x-bows?
Would that change if it was a bear instead of wolf?

Bruiza is a bloody awesome wolfy weapon, the freeze is really helpful. But range 1 hurts, you might as well be using a dagger + shield.
