Up'd Ribcracker for WW barb?

is an upgraded Ribcracker a feasible weapon for a WW barb? I've always wanted to make a WW, but it was too expensive for me.
I'm using it on a berserker now, and it does insane amounts of damage.
So i got to thinking if it will be a good WW weapon? If it isn't, what else is a good non-runeword weapon?

Yep, Upped Ribcracker is a solid choice for a WW barb. Just make sure it's socketed with a Shael so it hits the lowest WW breakpoint (IAS jewel won't work).

wouldnt a shael put it at the last 2hand ww bp? -65% isnt -60% the last bp?

Upped Ribcracker's base Weapon Speed (Stalagmite) is 10, and the Ribby has 50% IAS on it, putting it at -40. You need a Shael to hit -60, which is, indeed, the last WW bp.

Hm never thought about that, i have one on my stripped ww druid ill deffo try that out, killing bosses with my ebotdgpa is a pain without additional cb.

btw, anyone tried doing ubers with it as a ww barb? it could work well with a litetap wand on switch. maybe ill try it out.

ya but u said the lowest, wouldnt that be considered "last" not lowest bc its the fastest you can hit in ww

Lowest is a bit ambiguous in this sense, I'll warrant - considering it could either mean the fastest or the slowest whirl speed - but given the context of the statement I would think it fairly clear which one was intended.

If you're referring to something else, I wish you'd explain a little further; I see no reason why those terms could not be used interchangeably in this instance. Either way, the term indicates that you can't get any faster.

This is neat, I never even considered ribby for a wwbarb. This actually settles it, I'll start leveling by wolfbarb! :D
Even though he's a sword-wielder, ww'ing with ribby should put some of that boring waiting for wolfhowl a bit less annoying.

Yes, Mace Mastery is the one that works for staves. I am currently playing a ww barb using an ebotd archon staff, and it works insanely well. Early on, I used a regular ribcracker and it also worked very well, perhaps even better against bosses due to crushing blow.

In any case, staves are a fun new way to experience barbs. I say do it, if you haven't already.

the only drawback i only see in using ribcracker is that it is a range 2 weapon but overall it is one of the best weapons for WW Barb because of the insane mods on it.

Range doesn't really matter for PvM WW.
