I have been searching the internet, and this forum. I am a returning player (its been years). It seems that everything I find is a little outdated, can you guys help me get my barb right on the first try?

Here is what I have learned, please comment on anything that needs to be tweeked.

Stat placements:

Str: 90 base (189 w/gear needed for top gear - ??)
Dex: 105 – 140 (222 w/gear for max block w/ stormshield at level 99)
Vit: all the rest
Ene: base


Skill placements:

Sword Mastery – 20
WW - 20
Battle Orders – 20
Increased speed - 5-12 points
Shout – 1
Iron Skin – 1
Natural Resistance - 1-5
Battle Command – 1
Concentrate - 1
Berzerk - the rest

LASTLY, LETS PRETEND MONEY IS NOT AN ISSUE AND THAT I CAN AFFORD EVERY ITEM IN THE GAME.

Again, please help me create a barb that would be great at PvM and light PvP. I see this character as a tank/rusher/uber killer?? (though research makes me think that ww is not going to work on ubers)

Lastly, it is too late to turn back, Sword skill and WW have been maxed already and am using this character on ESCL.

You forgot a very important armor for barbs Fortitude, i suppose you have seen some debates around those 3. As i see it, it's a very good armor it have great defense and even more once chilling armor kicks in, some res and the most important thing: 300% ed. For me it's a no-brainer but different players have different preferences.

1 point in berserk, all the rest in Iron Skin, and use a Grief Phase Blade (considered bm in most duels, but hey, it's duels so if they don't like it just kill them).

Thank you, I have started gathering for fort armor.

I will stick one in berzerk... one thing I dont get is the "grief"... I dont want to PVP, just PVM. So, will grief be better than BOTD for me?

Can you explain why grief is so good? Cause I look at it and dont get it.
