While browsing this forum, I found multiple suggestions for skills, but hardly anything for stats. What should I invest my stat points into? My base stats currently look like this:

Base Stats
Strength: 100
Dexterity: 25
Vitality: 220
Energy: 25

This has been asked a lot, but I figure I might as well add mine to the mix. What should I train my skill points into? This is how my skills are currently distributed:

Summoning Spells
Skeleton Mastery: 20
Raise Skeleton: 20
Clay Golem: 1
Golem Mastery: 5
Raise Skeletal Mage: 20
Blood Golem: 1
Summon Resist: 1
Iron Golem: 1
Revive: 1
Poison and Bone Spells
Teeth: 1
Corpse Explosion: 7
Curses
Amplify Damage: 1

Here are screenshots of the skill pages, incase they are needed:

Curses (http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/5193/screenshot032tc6.jpg)

I usually play with 2 other people. One is a Barbarian, and the other is either a Sorceress or a Paladin. Any help on where to spend my stat/skill points is much appreciated, thanks! :)

posting some of your gear could help. i assume you don't plan on max block, so little to none into dex(do necs have dex reqs.?) str. enough for gear (if you have decent charms, none is needed) if you have insight merc or IG, none in energy, if you need more mana, most use no more than 50 pts. total in energy.

for the sorc, lower resist may be useful, especially for the phys. immunes. otherwise, looks pretty solid to me. some people like maxing dim vision, some like to get bone wall/prison(for bone armor synergy, or for crowd control), corpse explosion can be maxed, depends on personal prerferance(dmg doesnt scale up in multiplayer games, tho)

hope that helps

Where to place stats really depends on what gear you have. Most necros aren't going to invest more than 118 in strength (for Marrowwalks). If you're planning on getting unique gear (or Trang's set) later, you could go that high (after factoring in +strength from gear), otherwise you don't need any more. No blocking means no need for dex, so forget that. You don't really need energy either (if you're playing ladder) because of the Insight runeword. 'Ral Tir Tal Sol' in a four socket polearm makes the perfect weapon for an act 2 merc. That just leaves vitality--you can never have too much vitality.

As for skills, I'd highly recommend more corpse explosion. It's definitely worth maxing if you're short on +skills gear, otherwise you won't have much of a radius. I'd stick with amp damage as your curse. Your sorc friend might prefer lower resist, but corpse explosion is better than most of what she can do (assuming she's also untwinked), and amp will just drive its damage up further. Technically, LR adds to CE damage as well, but not as much as amp. I've never used dim vision, so I can't speak to that, but that only other curse you might want to get is decrepify. It is excellent if you have a hard time keeping your minions alive versus bosses.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. Thanks for the help!

I've decided to train 1 point into every curse, max golem mastery, then get corpse explosion to 10. As for my gear, it isn't anything special. Unfortunately, I don't play enough to get any of the really rare items (or be able to buy them).

Sounds ok, good luck on reaching level 99 too.

With your strength at 100 keep an eye out in the shops for belts with 25+ strength and another good stat and gamble for rare rings with strength/resists too.Your not far off getting the 156 needed for a spirit shield. Keep your eyes peeled in the shops and save your money for a good golemancer/necromancer wand for raising your minions and a good cursing/necromancer wand for increasiing the duration time of your curses for more relaxed play. The good items do eventually drop but your teammates might need them more than you.:whistling:

Your str is way too high and you need a ton more dex for max block.

If anyone tells you you don't need max block while you teleport around, they are in need of a CAT scan.

HOWEVER, I totally screwed my second season fishy and he had insanely low health and did fine. BUT, he had max block which means you need dexterity and homunculus.

I popped my suggestions to someone else in http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=708291. Some will disagree I'm sure. That's what I think.
