Hi all, this is sort of a "get to know you" kind of thread, as I myself have just rejoined the Diablo community after a 3 year hiatus.

Anyhow, my name is P.J. McKelvey. I'm a college student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA. I am currently majoring in general engineering.

My (first and hopefully only) Barbarian shall be named GaussWaffle, my name for everything else I play in the gaming world.

I think Barbarian will be the first class i play as they are so hardy in battle. The trouble is with a new game is you never know if you'll mess up skill and stat point alocation so the first char is probably not the one to give your favorite name to. I'd call my first one Grumble, cos that's what i'll do when i **** him up!

Kydall. I role-played a Druid named Kydall some time ago. The RP took the group to the final battle against Baal. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the story line so I had my character captured by some hell spawn demons and drug to the hells.

Wulf was my favourite A5 mercenary in Diablo 2, so there is a large amount of nostalgia for that tacky name! I'm inclined to pick something thematic: a name that is aggressive, but relatively noble sounding. Otherwise, I would go completely opposite. Perhaps it would be in the vein of silliness or something that is stylized after my account? Either way, there wouldn't be middle ground!

Shorter names are the way to go. That, or the Destroyer-of-Worlds (or faces...).

It seems like a lot of you are expecting the naming method to remain the same as in D2. What's to say they won't allow - _ and only a single first capitol letter.

blizzard has never restricted capitalization as far as i know.. maybe they did in WoW, but it seems like a pretty lame thing to not allow people to have capitol letters in the middle of their name, not likely.
