I have a pure melee zealot using heaven's light and I want to start a new elemental based pally. I've read the guides but I'd like an opinion from a pally expert. which of these build/weapons will rock the most and will be on par with my zealot edit: (or better)

Vengadin + etheral oath zerker axe

Tesladin with cresent moon runeword phaseblade

Zealot with maxe conviction and something like an etheral gimmershred

Riftadin

All other equipment will be pretty standard stuff recommended by the guides

Any other builds welcome but work under the assumption that I only have access to runes up to Gul-Vex

except tesladin tried others.

for me riftadin with dual dream seems most fun to play (not so godly but). riftadin makes good chaos runs with good mf (i do, lol myself). but a bit expensive with dual dream.

Tesla and uber's ?? An actual Tesladin or Tesla 1 point smiter with all the standard CB OW gear + Dracul's grasp :smug:

Is there no way these elemental build can rival a zealot ?? Well even if not which is better tesla or zealot with alot of elemental damage and Conviction ?? the later optin looks good on paper with all he -resists - defense and a quick attack that does excellent elemental damage. This is withot even counting CB which zealots are also good at applying

I won't really be making a storm ranger. I'd rather make a strafer for that play style. I can just see the AR isues, slooooooow attacks, no shield for crap resists and defense, and no dodge/avoid/evade or decoy to compensate. Underpowered anyone ?? and no I don't have the runes for a faith bow ;-)

Telsa with equip changes. A VoR/Rift pally is quite fun, may not be ZOMFGWTFPWNBBQ11? good.

tesladin with double dream, and conviction lvl 20 as main aura, owns. Man, you have lvl 30 holy shock with all sinergys, and max conviction, no imunes and very giht kill power, also can solo in P8 hell
trade your vex for a jah, and sells itens for pul, and make the helm or shield dream, one more HR, and you have the other piece

Great thread guys -- I made a VoR pally recently and loved the concept, even if it isn't a super-leet, Players 8 dominator.... at least I could solo WSK/Baal.

So I was also looking at what other elemental zealot variations are strong enough for Hell. Dual dreams seems great, but how on god's earth do you acquire the runes for that? My thought was to build an uber zealot/zmiter and use the torch income to trade up for HRs. Does that sound reasonable?

Is there a faster way to acquire the high runes for a set of Dreams? (I do have a Mal, 2x Um, and a handful of Puls currently)

Or, lacking the Dream setup, how do we feel about any of these other elemental zealot variations? I've never made a Tesladin, but I'm concerned about LitImmunes in hell -- something that's less of an issue with the max Conviction zealot, but then all your dmg has to be on wep/charms/jewels/etc.

Mal + 2x UM + torch = you can take 3 HR (for me its a good deal, i pay 3 Hr for it), but depending the stats of the torch, use the puls to get 3os elite helm and 3 os pala shield with resist.
on youtube have some videos of tesladin, try to see it, and know how work the build

if in ladder

- farm keys, make keysets
- farm organs with your keysets with your best character
- farm torches but only pal and sorc ones are valuable, others are not worth much
- sell organset or unidtorch for mal (2mal or 2organset is hr mostly)

somehow long but faster than mfing-selling-good-stuff. when i need hr i do this method.

if in SP, good luck finding runes:D. but i think u can trade in SP forums.

I've played all the auradin variants, and yes, they aren't the most super-powerful chars in the game. But they are damn fun.

I used to love the frosty the most, but now I play Tesla/Fire because I don' t like all the critters being blue.

Super fun build and you will be the favorite companion of sorcs and javazons.

Vengeance doesn't feel that elementally. Just a normal attack with sparks/flares/frostbites when you hit the enemy.
Same thing wit dream, except there's a pulse too.

I'd say either:

Fire ranger. Equip demon machine and razortail. Then use a high level holy fire and shoot. Exploding arrows take good advantage of fire damage

Riftadin. Guide in stickies
