Right now I'm working through Nightmare using a Summoning Druid. My basic strategy is to get into Bear Form (low level Bear, high level Lycanthropy just for a survival boost), Shockwave everything, let my minions tear **** up, and rely on a Cold Rogue and an eventual elemental weapon for PI's.
This is the first time I've rolled a Druid. I'm at level 48, with 20 points into HoW, 5 points into S.Wolves, 6 points into D.Wolves, and 6 points into Grizzly. The rest of my points are singles for prereqs, plus about 5-6 points into Lycanthropy. I know that I want to max Grizzly and D.Wolves eventually (for the past several c.levels I've been trying to keep them equal in s.level), but I'm not sure about how much to put into Spirit Wolves. I'd like to get a stronger Shockwave eventually, but I'll pass on it if I need to up S.wolves in order to hit anything in Hell. So what's the best plan? 20 in S.Wolves? Keep it at 5? Somewhere in between? Any advice is appreciated.
