So there've been some good guys I've encountered playing D2 a short while ago, including devilock who has helped out loads - and today I had another nice incident.
Playing with my fishymancer doing a few hell areas and I got "diablo walks the earth message" and thought "someone is lucky" and promptly just carried on with my run.
Got to durance3 and low and behold the first council member had turned into dclone. Eep! After a minute of frantically just trying to survive I escaped back up the stairs and hit friends. Noone online. I went into chat and some kind paladin offered to kill him for me and was fine with me keeping the anni.*
This is a nice change amongst all the traders looking to scam you out of your few valuables, the 15 year olds calling each other *** in chat and the endless spam bots.

*13stat 16res@ 6%EXP if you're wondering. No idea on how much it is worth in trades but will most likely be keeping it anyway :)

Where do you get those people lol. I'm a hammerdin, so if someone asked me, I would probably help because, how often do you get the chance of killing DC? And probably more important reason, you're safe with hammerdins having anni already so they cant steal it. And it's a good exp too.

Well I have no idea how rare he is, but being a total noob and stumbling across him like that considering I only spend about an hour a day playing must be pretty uncommon.

I just hopped into chat after memorising my game name and password and he volunteered very willingly, and sure - I guess part of it was the fun of killing Dclone - but that doesn't detract from how useful it was to me so no less thanks are due :)

Glad to hear of your positive experience! There are still some of us nice guys out there. We're not all spoilt 15 year old brats who have never wanted for anything in their lives cos mummy and daddy were scared to say no., whoops where did that come from? Anyway, I make a point of helping out whenever i can with quests, rushes, items etc and ask others to "pass it forward" hoping that it will encourage others to do the same. I've never been lucky enough to see that message yet, maybe one day. Enjoy the Anni, mate!

No offence, but, that is immature post mate. You think that only 15-yearolds act like an idiots on bnet? Try playing it more often.

Well Kennoth, I guess that struck a raw nerve with you "little boy".

I see. Now we started insolting also? And how old are you? 44 year old man with no wife or kids playing Diablo, and living with mother?

And, yet, you make childlish like posts that my 10 month old brother could reply to, with no arguments, and facts to support your words, then when someone tells you otherwise, you start flaming. I guess I know what kind of person you are now.

Or, maybe you're just a 'kiddie' also trying to make it big in the internet with tough words. Yeey how cool you are. Cheers 'dad'

*warning warning* victim of the "internet thoughguy" ("http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=internet+toughguy) syndrome reported, only cure is a good slap to the face

this is one of the first flames and such i find on this forum, so i just felt to post this here

@brutass: kennoth has a point that it aint only 15year olds that act immature on bnet, older and younger persons to get carried away by the game and the anonimity of the net

So why do you feel the need to assault him in person with the little boy comment and the later post is also very dumb, cause he could also play that game (i forsee your gonna post some responce to this that will try to make me upset, or not cause i forsaw what you where gonna do and then you don't)

@kennoth: next time just relate to the link ^^ less fuss and they should get your point right away or they are just really retarded

@jumped up pantry boy: I'm sorry that your post about nice persons on bnet that are found very rarely got messed up by some immature postings, gratz on the anni and happy to see that there are some decent players out there and that you got lucky to find one, btw do you play on [EUSCL] If so i think i met devilock sometime ago if not i'm mixing up names, also if you do you can add me
