I have a level 74 sorc (pure fire) who has completed nightmare. She's for MFing. I wonder, what's a good level for running meph? My gear is full tals + low spirit + magefist + fcr ring + mf ring + infernostrides.

Should I bother with the meph bug? Or is it too annoying to use?

Can I run him now or should I level a bit? Nm baal runs are slow, but if i get to act 5 hell I won't be able to use the meph bug.

you should be fine if you're well equipped. If you breach the 78 FCR barrier, you should be fine. The moat trick is mostly for blizz but tbh, with one max synergised tree, your killing power should be no match for meph. Just rush in, static, meteor/FB spam.

If you wait till 75 for the torch, you can get even more decent damage.
Also consider rhyme/gull on switch.

The meph "bug" is that if you have not yet completed the quest but are in a game where it already has been completed, you will get a quest drop without getting credit for the quest.

Rince-and-repeat.

What armor are u guys using for your sorcs?

Popular choices are Skullder's Ire, Tal Rasha's armor (combined with 2 other pieces of the set for an MF bonus, usually the Amulet and the Belt) and the 'Chains of Honor' runeword.

would the tals armor be a better idea to use along with the 2 set items or use skullders along with maras and gold wrap a better choice? Then again it could all be on preference.

It really depends. Tal's gives good bonuses for Sorcs, where Skullder's and Goldwrap really don't.

I'd suggest starting with Skullder's and Goldwrap, and switching to higher-end gear as soon as you can - by getting lots of MF small charms you can compensate for the lack of MF on your gear.

I use a HotO, Chains of Honor, crafted +2 sorc ammy with some MF and other bonuses, 2 30% Nagels, 40% Chance Guards, 43% War Traveler and a Lidless Wall.
This is not the most MF you can get with your gear, but it still does the job quite well, especially because I have Rhyme + Ali Baba on the switch.
Also, I switch the 2 Nagels for Nature's Peace and Raven Frost if necessary - for the likes of Nihlathak, Baal's Minions, etc.

cheers,
-Jack

i think in all cases consider hight power + FCR, i do more runs in few times, for a frozen-orb, mine have 105 FCR, 86FHR,+11 skills, and about 330% MF, fireball hits around 6,8K(avg) and FO around 500; the key is 105 FCR and lots o + skills, to do the job fast

Many think that Isting a weapon is a waste. I have Isted many weapons and havent regrettet it. As long as you are able to kill fast and survive, there is nothing wrong with it. And you have to afford it..if you a low/medium budget, I wouldnt do it. But if you are wealthy enough..why not.
