What's the best way to lvl up my merc's str for insight?

I've got a nice insight polearm but my merc can't even use it. It requires 210 str.

hey Milhouse you could go buff up your merc with str such as nigma or duriels. Then another cheap option is socketing the helm with either a str jewel or perfect amythest.

3 perf ammy griz armor is one cheaper option

although, long term, its probably just more practical to remake it in an eth CV (more damage and only 200 str req) or find a 4os Cryptic Axe that takes even less. And Insight is cheap enough that you can make it in something lesser that you can wield right now, and then upgrade to the CV whenever you can make the str.

Get a eth one so it's only 200str required, p amythest andy's or a str/resist jewel and 'lionheart' armor

+20% Enhanced Damage <--so-so
Requirements -15% <--nice for high str, high def armors
+25 To Strength <--5str less than 3x p amethyst gris armor but more useful mods coming
+10 To Energy <--nn
+20 To Vitality <--nn
+15 To Dexterity <--ya
+50 To Life <--YAAAA
All Resistances +30 <-- YAAAAAAAAAA

Hel + Lum + Fal
Those runes are fairly cheap

Get an Andarial's Visage. Their trade value isn't very high anymore. It gives a boat load of strength to your merc, life leech and poison resist. Overall a killer a2 merc hat.

Andy's is an excellent end-game merc helm but your merc needs to be lvl 83 to use it. By the time he hits that level he can probably use the CV insight naturally.

Dont use CV, its one of the worst polearms for a merc because of hte str req. Eth CA or thresher is more expensive but good. normal CA/thresher 4 socks goes for a pg on my realm.

I just got a giant skull bone visage for my merc. It's nice and I put ort and sol in it to make a runeword.

i did not make any runeword in there.

Just put 2 Pametists (os strg jewls with other nice mods)

did you try to make "lore" runeword in that giant skull? Cos that doesnt actually work.... only normal or superior non magic items can be socketed with a runeword.

Beecause I think you're going to be wanting to do that and then adding the 2 PAmys.

Yeah, thats not a lore runeword. Thats a unique item with 2 sockets and a bunch of crap runes in them. Hel it and put in a pair of strength/enhanced damage/ias jewels in them or perfect amys.

For future reference you can only make runewords in grey items. Or white items that you get larzuk to socket into a grey items. Alternatively, if its a non superior white item you can use a cube recipe to cube socket it and you can runeword that provided you have the correct number of sockets and it is the right item type.

You cannot make runewords in blue, yellow, orange, green and gold items - even if they have the correct number of sockets.

spirit forge unique mail with 2os has inherent +str and you can plop some pammy's in there. or like people mentioned 3 pammy gris armor. when he's a high enough lvl andy's visage is a good choice.

or go the other way and just find a different less demanding elite polearm to make it in, the runes aren't that expensive after all
