Bad news... at least for me here:

"It features a familiar 12-string guitar along with a sparse string backing that creates a desolate atmosphere. While the guitar melody has no hint of the Tristram theme in it, it’s good to hear something new rather than having every track in the game rely on the classic “Tristram” theme."

:(

Lol about a "familiar" 12-string (?!) guitar.

And that's very sad about the song I wanted to see a "Tristram revisited" kind of sequel sond there :(

Yeah the tristram music needs to be in this game. I will not buy it if it's not in.

Oh, wait, of course I will buy it. I just get confused when everyone keep saying that :)

Pretty sure it's gonna be in there in some form.

Epic!
I don't really remember any specifics at this moment but I do remeber it fits well into the fast pace of the game.
About the tristram melody: didn't heard it in game....yet.
Question: was anybody else (but me) pissed when the Video Games Live totally screwed the beuty of this melody by changing so many of it's chords from minor to major. (sad to happy - basically) Just like they did in WWI.

Ugh. I haven't heard that version, but I can imagine.
If you're going to do a version of a song, do it right - don't change the melody!
Obviously if they changed chord structure, they changed the melody. Sigh..

But yes, I'm really hoping to hear the same Tristram melody in the soundtrack in some form. As long as the melody itself is unchanged.

The theme fit so well into D1. It was awesome. I hope the new theme is as recognizable as the the old.

well if they did do away with the old tristram music i hope the replacement is good cause it was one of those themes that would pop into my head alot, like if i was at work or whatever. the original legend of zelda is another one that does that too lol
