Do traps profit from their creators -resist gear?
I thought bout using RBF for my trapper.

No, -res doesn't work with traps. Traps are treated as minions.

edit. to below

I'd use Griffon's on trapsin only, if I'd need that 25fcr (for teleport) it offers.

Damn...
But why does LS trapper guide propose Griffons as a valid head gear option?

The +lightning damage should still works, it offers 1 +skill and as said, fcr is very useful for teleport or mind blast.
The other option would be a +2 skill had with 20 fcr and other mods. Interesting though much harder to get a good one and no +lightning damage.

No, the +lightning damage doesn't work for the same reason.

Griffons is used for a legit 102 fcr with dual claws.

I play trapper and I only have fcr on switch with dual Spirit Sword + Spirit Shield or Wizardspike + Spirit Shield for the few times I need to use my teleport charges.

As for the rest of my gear I mostly use +skills and +increased attack speed for laying traps since the only skill that uses IAS apart from my teleport-amulet is cloak of shadows. Psychic Hammer and Mindblast isn't really worth the hassle in my opinion.

Just my five öre (swedish equivalent of cents).

But to get back on topic, no, traps do not profit from their creators -n% to enemy lightning resistance-gear.
The same should apply for +n% to lightning skill damage.

Cloak is independant of IAS, and MB is essential to a trapper.

Wizz / Spirit is great for the fcr, but when dual wielding claws, you need alot to get 102, and you can't use wizzy or spirit to do so.
