View Full Version : wannabe game tester
Err.. is there a way to let Blizzard know that I'm one of the many wannabe Diablo3 beta testers? A way to say: "ok if you need new external testers, count me in too!"
lol :whistling:

There is a section on the blizzard download site that asks to to click if you would like to be added to a list of possible beta testers for future products that is pretty much the only way i can think of at this time to let them know
We've got a fairly extensive beta test page in the wiki. It includes discussion of who gets picked for beta tests and why.

Thanks, anyway the only accessible thing seems "Blizzard passes out beta keys [..] to fansites".
But then, how many will receive the codes among us..

Really? Where's that?

I believe the one he's talking about is the part where you sign up for an account at their store (http://www.blizzard.com/store/browse.xml?f=c:1,c:7). Going from memory, one of the questions is about possibly being included in future beta sessions, but I wouldn't get your hopes up

You guys might want to check this news item (http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/diablo-3-fansites-kit/) out. It clearly says how you can get beta keys - by making a fansite, update it twice a week and build a small community. Worth a try.
I'm sure we'll see a couple of contests here on diii.net as well (as diii.net clearly exceeds the requirements). I'd like one contest that rewards a user if he's updated/put content to diablowiki a lot :)

You're just one of the 5 billion other players.
Weeeeee.
The small scaled fansite will not gain you recognition. That's just a false perception people get. Lots of work, too.
Blizzard's contracted game testers are very... exclusive. Probably one of the most exclusive in the industry.
I remember when they use to contract top ladder players on SC/Diablo to be game testers. The point being that unless you offer something that's truly exceptional, you're not going to be one. How do you get yourself considered/acknowledged as a valid candidate? Simple: get really good at their games. WoW, SC, WC3. Take your pick. Not D2 though, with all the rampant exploits/hacks.
They'll come to you. Otherwise, zippo.
Oh well, yesterday I managed to get Heaven's Light with 1/4255 chances and the IK armor with 1/26629.. everything is possible now hihi :jig:
I'll register an account at Blizzard as you suggest.
Thanks Orphan
