Anything that says plus to damage (charms, weps, %,) etc. And also the plus 1-5 fire/cold/poison/lght damage. This is my first sorc btw, a meteorb to start. Does an enemies defence block elemental damage too or just there resists? Will ITD work with a magic or elemental attack? Thanks for answering these noob questions.

Magical spells all have 100% chance to hit.

Cold charms do add 1 second freezing to cold spells. As for weapons and anything else damaging, you gotta attack melee or missile. Enchant spell helps a lot.

% damage only affects physical attacks, eg melee with sword or with arrows from bows etc.
% light damage, eg in eschutas, will affect elemental damage from spells.

charms with elemental damage dont add to the spell, but does to physical. They also receive a bonus from elemental masteries that sorcs have. Eg 1-10 dmg light charm, with lightening mastery, will get the %bonus from LM.

Magic attacks always hit. ITD is irrelevant.

Only if it explicitly says, that it adds either x% fire, lightning or cold damage, then it will effect your casting skills +x fire, lightning and cold damage effect melee and missilie attacks.
