I am unable to find a formal guide to the best way(s) to desync with a Paladin (please don't argue here about cheese, GM, etc).
Similarly, I can find youtube videos of how to namelock tele (ghosts and/or BvC's) and Farcast "legitimately" (CS zons).
That said, I think the PvP forum could collectively get distinguished PvP'ers to write a formal guide on tips and tricks they've learned to use certain skills effectively.
As an example, here are some of the less obvious things about Desync that I have learned:
1) Charge in straight, long lines - Shorter lines mean more charges/mana used. Straight lines for some reason seem to work better.
2) Go off the minimap (so their X disappears) and THEN charge back on screen in straight lines.
3) Some moves take you out of desync. What moves? I don't know all of them (I do know that teleport does) - and would be something that is included in the guide.
4) Desyncing around them and then "revealing yourself" (via a skill that takes you out of desync) to chase them into an old/invisible hammer field works great.
5) When running from Desync, don't run in straight lines, or you can and will get cut off very easily. Running upwards away when you are not sure where your opponent is works better than running downward (due to the nature of where the hammers spawn).
6) A tip an old friend of mine (he was very solid at his hammerdin, no teleport) said that when he was playing HvH, he would charge to where he saw his opponent last, and hammer there. I haven't been able to make this work myself, but that was the "tip" he gave me.
That's an example of the kind of simple guide to basic PvP skills that I would like to find! Anyone else have other input? Like how exactly Namelock WW (right clicking WW on them to desync - not teleporting on them) works for a Barb, and when to use it, or any tips for other classes.
Does it matter which direction you Nado for a windy (is one more effective than another?)
There probably isn't a lot to say, but as we all have learned, this game is deceivingly deeper than it appears (point and click).
