View Full Version : Crafting
So i want to make the Blood Helm from here.
http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/crafted/blood.shtml
I need it for a lv 18 char.
I was told to use a char under lv 15 in normal. What color writing are magic helms? Blue? Do i use the cube to craft them?

The names of Magic, Rare, Crafted, Set, and Unique Items appear in Violet, Yellow, Orange, Green, and Gold text, respectively.

Question is though do the magical items actually look violet on your computer? On mine and apparently everyone else's they appear blue. Either it's a typo by Blizzard or a coding error but either way violet isn't the best description of the color.

The guy who wrote that must be colorblind :smug:
so i have the helm in the cube with a ral and p ruby and jewl. does it matter if the the helm/jewl is id'ed? i hit transmute and nothing happens? does it matter if my char is only lv 1?
Don't hold my word on it, but i think it doesn't matter that you Id'ed it. You probably did something else wrong.
I'm obviously not an expert about this, cause I never crafted anything in Diablo ever. It's just useless. Most useless thing in Diablo at least IMO. I'd rather put pgems on it :D
sorry if u think crafting is useless but u can get some gg ammys, mana boots, or CB gloves.
I know, you can craft +skill amulets, but, I just thinks it's waste of time

It doesn't work with any helm. You have to use one with exactly that name, i.e. which looks like this:

You might use an exceptional (casque) or elite version (armet) and the color doesn't matter as well, as long at it's magical.
If it still doesn't work, identify the jewel. You should do that in any case, as it might be one which you don't want to use for crafting and the type or quality of the jewel won't have any effect on the result anyway.

Yep! Like krischan stated (Not Full Helm / Great Helm) >,.<
Also, you do not have to identify for crafting!

Yeah~ You should tell them!

Just so I'm clear...a "magic" jewel would also appear violet as well? I have not had much luck at crafting either. I have put all the correct items in the cube and nothing happens. I chalk it up to the wrong jewel...I guess. I hear people talk about "junk" jewels, whatever the difference is, and I am waiting to find a jewel with the word "magic" in the name.

Could you provide a screenshot of all the items you are using for the recipe, with the mouse cursor being over the helm ?

Well, you might want to reconsider... some of the crafted caster amulets beats the **** out of mara...
True. Though, it's very rare to craft such items. TBH I'm not very experienced in that matter, since I never crafted anything.
