I'm wanting to make an extremely strong amazon for pvp, using the skill "impale".

What I'm aiming for is insanely high damage, to be able to one hit people.

Gear:

Lycander's Flank Ceremonial Pike:
Two-Hand Damage: (130-151) To (305-353) (216-252 Avg)
Required Level: 42
Required Strength: 115
Required Dexterity: 98
Durability: 25
Base Weapon Speed: [20]
(Amazon Only)
+150-200% Enhanced Damage (varies)
Adds 25-50 Damage
+2 To Amazon Skill Levels
+30% Increased Attack Speed
5-9% Life Stolen Per Hit (varies)
+20 To Strength
+20 To Vitality
+20% Enhanced Defense
+2 To Javelin and Spear Skills (Amazon Only)
-------------------------------------------

but I'm considering...

Steel Pillar War Pike:
Two-Hand Damage: (102-118) To (551-640) (326.5-379 Avg)
Required Level: 69
Required Strength: 165
Required Dexterity: 106
Base Weapon Speed: [20]
+210-260% Enhanced Damage (varies)
25% Chance of Crushing Blow
-20% Target Defense
+25% Increased Attack Speed
+50-80% Enhanced Defense (varies)
Indestructible

Due to its MASSIVE damage, and its indestructible, meaning impale wont make it lose durability, meaning so annoying repair every few seconds...

Armour:

I have no clue of what armour to use yet... really really need advice here

Amulet:
Angelic amulet for the attack rating bonus it gives when used with the angelic rings

Rings:
Angelic rings for the attack rating bonus it gives when used with the angelic amulet

Belt:
will be using string of ears 15% DR, and 110 defense, 8% lifesteal, they're almost perfect, They should be replaced with verdugos in future, I'm wondering could there be any better belts for this build?

Gloves:
No idea... for now I have venom grips in the stash... i know they suck... advice please =)

Helm:
Valkyrie Helm:
Defense: 247-297 (varies)(Base Defense: 85-98)
Required Level: 44
Required Strength: 115
Durability: 40
+150-200% Defense (varies)
+1-2 To Amazon Skill Levels (varies)
20% Faster Run/Walk
20% Faster Hit Recovery
+2-4 To Mana After Each Kill (varies)

I like this helm, but I could probably do better... can anyone suggest?

So what I really want is very high damage, and attack rating, So I'd be 95% of the time 1 hitting people.

As for skills.

20 Impale
20 Penetrate
10 critical strike
10 Dodge
10 Evade
10 Avoid

and i think that's it, is that a good way to distribute my skill points? I'd probably end up maxing critical strike in the end.

Attribute points...

The standard code, enough strength to equip gear, enough dexterity to equip gear, and all the rest into vitality, and NONE into energy.

:nono:

Impale... PvP... what? Impale + PvM is already three shades of wtf, there is NO way Impale will ever kill anyone in PvP, unless they choose to let you kill them.

Assuming you take the War Pillar, you'll need 260% Increased Attack Speed to Impale at 19 fpa. That's right, while PvPing, while your hit sloooooowly comes into place, most people can just side-step to the right, cause your Impale to miss completely, for a bit, call you a noob, then smack you a few times to death.

Or, by the time you manage finishing your attack, most builds will have smacked you 2-3 times. The best part: it's highly interruptable.

Eh, this is what happens when Dacar92 unstickies this thread (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=389951).

PvM-wise... unless you are getting RUSHED, you will not go very far. I had a friend make an Impalezon, and his 'Zon broke this many spears (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1&pictureid=4) to progress through nine (early) levels. Repair/Sec doesn't work very well either, you'll need something with Indestructable.

If I were you, I'd stick to Jab, and perhaps use Impale against bosses only.

I built an LLD Impaler for fun as I have a very decent eth repair Pike and Impale gets a whopping 300% ed at slevel 1.Believe it or not I did beat people on occasion but only when they had terrible damage and defence.I think my experience is as good as it could get with Impale.

one small problem: you won't be able to hit anyone

reason: enigma

don't you love 1.10+ pvp ?

unless you're a charger no one is going to one-hit anyone in pvp as a melee build, even with the godliest items

Far out... It sucks bad, I tested in single player using editors...

Well could you or someone let me know of a build that can allow me to 1 hit someone, melee... or is the only one that could really do that be a chargeadin? I think I might just have to make a chargeadin for what i want..

consider that any decent dueler will have at least 2k life with CTA battle orders or over 5k in the case of a barb

1/6 dmg penalty in pvp regardless of elemental or physical damage, so that means you would need to do at least 12k damage in one swing to one shot a regular pub caster build with CTA

if your opponent has any blocking or damage reduction then the chances of this happening are even more slim

chargers and whirlwind are the only viable choices for one shotting because the former just hits incredibly hard while the latter hits multiple times AND both of these builds are mobile while delivering the melee damage --> mobility is the key

with enigma in 1.10+ it is really really really hard to land a regular stationary swing based attack on another player that can teleport, smite from pally at least has the advantage that it's unblockable and undefendable (always hits as long as you are in range), a decent teleporting dueler will port away before you even finish your swing animation

2 hander chargers with a slow heavy hitting spear or maul are very fragile but can be fun to play around with in regular pub games

a charger with level 20 charge, level 20 fanat and just one synergy maxed (vigor) will have +975% + 373% = +1348% enhanced damage which is just crazy when coupled with an 800 damage 2 hander, and charging speed was greatly improved in 1.10
