There are still a few things that I would like to know about D3 that, to me are pretty basic.
1) Town Portals, especially with word that towns can now be randomly raided (assuming you can now take damage in town)
2) How the new potion system will work, seeing as your number bars will now be 1-6 with skills. (Will they be like WoW Potions, having a CD?)
3) How the new talents will work. I would love to know if it's more of a WoW based talent tree, or more like the diablo 2, I've heard rumors of both.
4) The last thing I'd like to know about is the Automatic Stat Assignment system based on what character you play. This takes out a good deal of strategy while building your character, and seeing as I am a hardcore player, it generally means less health.
If anyone has info, screenshots, anything along those lines on this information, please post, I'd love to see.
Thanks

I will say that TP's were specifically mentioned today, though you did not have them in the demo.
Potions dropped in the demo. And there are a lot of different ones - some add dex, some add speed, some add strength, and of course healing and mana. The healing and mana did very little - but enough to get you to the next orb. Everything else was temporary.
The talent tree is a mix of WoW and D2. And, they mentioned it is far from finished.
Come to think of it, I guess I never did add my own stats. I'm gonna play again tomorrow, I'll check.

Thanks, I really appreciate it, FeydAway. Also, apparently I missed this, Wizard's talent tree has been revealed if anyone is interested.

(It does look quite a bit WoW based)
Any more info would be appreciated.

Also, FaydAway, How is the Save and Exit implemented? Forgot to ask.

Woah, cool. :) Is that fact or fiction? I see no link to any sources...
edit: lol. I never check the frontpage. :P The tree is there, too.
It looks like in D3 you won't only use 2-3 skills but more. Each attack skill is one point but the buffs are multiple point investment. Very cool.
Melee Wizards got actual support now, nice.

I don't think you will get very far as a melee wizard. :P

Considering that from what I read stats are auto-assigned I don't think you'll have the str to carry good melee weapons.
It's my hope that the auto-assigning was only for the demo at Blizzcon and not actually implemented in the final version of the game.

Yep, stats are auto-assigned at the con. I don't know if this will be permanent or not. Man, I hope not.
The demo is self-contained, so there is no save/exit enabled. You get to the skelly king and kill him and it tells you congrats, the demo is over. There ARE checkpoints we reached that flash up on the screen. I did die once and I rezzed at my last checkpoint, so that's how they'll handle that.

Would you be able to elaborate?
I find your lack of faith in Gandalf wizardy is disturbing.
Seriously, check out the entire Conjuration tree. 70% of the skills in it are geared towards making the Wizard durable and improving melee combat.
Throw in stuff like Storm Shield or Temporal Shield, and we will have a very nice gish like character. Soften them up with a nuke or two, and go crazy with the hack'n'slash.

Would you be able to elaborate?
Jay talked about TP's being used as a survival tool and said he doesn't want you, as a character, to only fear death and be able to escape with a TP, heal up, and return. He wanted to give the game 'other challenges' that you could enjoy.
When he spoke about this it sounded very much like they considered TPs to be a part of D3.
However, in the demo there are no scrolls of TP dropping. Only ID.
