I can't be the only one who immediately thought of Poochie (http://simpsons.wikia.com/wiki/Poochie) (The Simpsons) after reading through the Wizard's back story (http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/characters/wizard.xml).

Teen rebel. Check. Attitude. Check. Heh. I wonder what that charcter dev meeting was like. /rollseyes

Anyways, I just wanted to see what you guys thought. Class looks cool as hell, back story not so much.

And it's not like "rebellious teen mage" wasn't a staple of fantasy for the last 50 years.

In fantasy, same thing. "Teenagers" don't really exist in such settings, you go from child to wide encompassing "young adult."

My point still stands -_-. She is a young whippersnapper mage upstart, call it what you will, the essence of it won't change.

As long as it's proactive and a totally outrageous paradigm, then everything will be consistent and thorough. :whistling:

Seriously though, there's heaps of shows/games that have these types of characters. I think all the stereotypes have been run through already unfortunately.

Stereotypes don't matter. It is how you use them that does matter. You can use a stereotype without the character becoming a big cliché.

one very a nnoying thing about the wizard is that globe permanently stuck to their hand that they cant but keep held aloft - will the world end if they drop their hand? :)
