Hey all, I've been posting a lot of threads lately but theres been some interesting stuff! Has anyone been shocked by the night screenshot of the "new tristram"?

Do you think whole sections will be in Night or will it be more of a shifting thing like the rain in D2? I wonder if there will be certain events that can only happen during the night vs only the day similiar to the thousand pounder?

They said they are going to try to make it much more intense to step out of town and I think night is a good touch. I bet there will be a lot of differences between the mood of day vs night

This screenshot really has a D1 feel to it. I like!

Question is, will we see really dark nights, or is this the darkest they can make them? I remember Blizzard were talking about how the old light radius from previous games wouldn't work well in D3 for some reason, implying no really "black"-dark areas... This screenshot kind of confirms it... until we see more.

I wasn't a big fan of Sacred, but I did like the day / night aspect of the Vampiress.

It can be that the light depends on a day/night cycle, with possibly monsters/events that appear based on day or night. Maybe there's even an extra depth during nights with full moon or no moon. Who knows.
It can also be that the light is always the same in the same spot.
This is a good question to be asked to the developers I think...

I'm not really surprised, blizzard said they want to change the environments regularly, shifting from day to night and back would aid in that goal.

That particular screen shots looks great though.

Not really. I'm pretty familiar with the concept of night

If Pokemon can do it, I'm sure D3 can handle it too.

whats so surprising?
The moment D3 was announced it was said there will be night and day, sunny and stormy, bright and dark areas.

That would be throught the whole game almost!
