View Full Version : What good are dol and io runes?

I have collected about 7 of each. They don't seem to have any trade value nor are they very interesting to use in sockets. Dols I could cube to hels which would be useful since I remake Spirit shields trying to get 35 FCR. Io's cube to lums, then ko then fal, none of which seem very desirable.
Any ideas? Do others just cube them or charsi them? Thank you!

The only thing I can think of right now is that they're used in a few different runewords. Other than that, cubing is always a good idea if you're keeping them, or just Charsi them if you're OCD about clutter. ;)
OT: what do you mean by "Charsi" them?

If you are just going to sell them I can happily trade you for perfect gems :).
And yeah, they're good for cubing and a medium/low level runeword or two.

He is wagging ya. Trade them with a necro. 'Charsi' means selling it for money to a vendor (Charsi the blacksmith from act 1). Don't do that. Alternately pick up two-socket plain wands, no magic rare or uniques, with the mods '3 to bone spirit or 3 to bone spear, or '3 to skeleton mastery'.
Ko is a useful rune, for the runeword Sanctuary.

Good white runeword wands are worth a bit because the base wands are a pain to shop for but trading a dol and io pair for 5 perfect gems will net you enough enough gems for a pul or um in trading I think.
Save them in case you'll ever need a runeword. Otherwise cube them or 'charsi' them lol

I suggest to keep one of each and to upgrade the rest.
