durance dolls

So I'm in NM act3, started the Durance. I'm making my way through there, and I'm crushing the monsters there. Usually 1 shot kills (lvl 63 lightning sorc), but the dolls crush me. I think they explode or something. They run super fast up to me, I light or CL and I die almost instantly.

What's the best way to handle them?

From a distance. When you kill the dolls they explode with a CE explosion. While it is blockable I wouldn't count on that saving you. However this explosion doesn't affect the mercenary, so a good way to deal with them is let your merc getting the final hit and you stay far enough away to avoid the explosion.

I would just tele through Durance because Dolls can be a pain for sorcs.

When you've found the entrance decide whether your going to go clockwise or anticlockwise around the map and teleport flat out until you find the next exit/waypoint. A low damage insight on the merc, a point in frozen armour, a few blues, fcr in excess of 63 and some fhr should do the trick.

If you're not happy with the blind teleport technique use the skip and run technique of running towards the dolls/monsters and then teleporting beyond them into the next space.

[Minor nitpick]
It's not a CE. Nor is it a FE explosion. The dolls have their own explosion which is 100% physical damage and is (as you state) blockable. There was an excellent thread about it in Hardcore Forum a while back, but I can't seem to find it atm. IIRC Agent Marth, Tai and Master Zap were the main contributors/testers. He has tested many different scenarios and put alot of effort into finding optimal block/fbr/fcr/fhr etc. rates.
