View Full Version : BvC <> Hybrid Sin
So I've been out of the loop lately. Has the ONE DUEL TO END THIS finally been done?
You know what I mean, a top BvC vs a top Hybrid?
I say a hybrid with good switch equipment (102/86 BoS maxblock) and some skill will kill every BvC in a gm ft5. :)
/my hybrid assassin doesn't exist any longer and I actually quit d2 but if any europe BvC player feels treated wrong you can still challenge me on trapper any time.
You could borrow mine :P, It's not star quality but sufficient I assume :D
But the point of this thread was figuring out if this duel had actually taken place :D
well, "best vs best" is always hard to say because who is it that determines a "best" player?
However, I think I duelled pretty much any well-known bvc on europe and still do take challenges if anyone feels offended or treated wrong :P
I think it is important to say that a good w/s setup is the key. C/C will have a really hard time against barbs

Lag is a factor in that duel on the bvc side, I would say the best way to test is to have the two persons on the same network play on itp or something. With so much stunlock any barb will have a lot of hard time vs goot sin when you count in lag. As far as I am concerned the only person that ever gave me hard time is Max (wiz4dept here) but I used to lag a lot on d2pk.
i've always been more on the side of trapper > bvc. the closer the hybrid build is to a trapper, the more i'd say it'd be able to win.
in a typical 65 fcr ww/ls sense, a hybrid will lose to a bvc, but if they make some involved gear swaps to change into a pseudo 102 trapper, i think they can stand a good chance
Hybrid sins can fight really well against barbs using only WW. It all depends on how good both players are.
In terms or WW strength, a barb does outmatch a hybrid, but a tweaked Physical WWsin (not ghost, even more WW based) can take on bvcs and some bvas.
I would say if the barb is really good, there will not be too many situations where you can successfully land WW hits without a great risc of getting into a parallel WW situation (which would be really bad for the sin).
I personally found it practically better to use kicks in a w/s maxblock switch if you want to have some fun. used correctly, single kick volleys often will go through unanswered until the barb starts mixing more WWs into WSGing, which means more traphits.
in a real FT5 i personally found an almost pure trapping style to be most effective and least dangerous.
widowmaker, kicks and ww can all 3 be really funny and also effective - but the better the bvc the less effective. so in a theoretical top bvc vs top sin i guess that traps and maybe some def'ing with widowmaker will be most benefitable.
it's still cool to shred over a WSGing barb with ww and not get hit :P
Yes but that just boils to equipment and the barb just needs a few decent sc's and the basic grief/beast/nigma :(
well yeah thats the way it is :P
you can also go for a much cheaper switch equipment with a bit worse stats. i think dercanegel has some 102/86 maxblock setup as well in his guide, maybe still worth using if you cannot be arsed to get/afford BB and stuff
Lol :D
I gave all mah moneyz away, so I'm just stuck to whatevers currently on my sin. I highly doubt I'd use/find BB though.
i dont have any bb for you but maybe some tradables if you are interested. i could check it later
sorry for OT :D

Your sorc is intact and anything missing from your sin (if you do miss something) can be replaced immediately :) Consider all your itamz to be still yours :)
sorry for OT ofc :whistling:
