Eaglehorn vs Buriza

As most evidence point to Windforce as the ultimate bow to have,
can we have a comparison on these 2 instead?

At first glance , Buriza has higher damage than an Eagle horn.

In hell, taking into account that Eagle will add 500(level 80 plus) AR + ITD + faster firing rate, is that sufficient to exceed a Buriza's killing speed.

Secondly how many Perf Gems do I need to trade for an Eagle horn or maybe even WindForce?

Personally I like both bows, both are hell viable. But imo, the Eaglehorn has the little edge over Buriza for performance. But the nostalgic me, votes for Buriza :)


Eaglehorn costs about 3-8pgs, depents on what realm. I bet you even could get it for 1pg with some luck.

I've used both, and they're both ok. Even though eaglehorn has the lower listed damage, it makes up for it with the ITD. However, buriza also has 100% pierce and lots of cold damage. The former is not so notable since lvl 9 pierce or so gives you all you need, but the latter is, since I can no longer use strafe to take down ghosts with eaglehorn, whereas I had much less of a problem with buriza.

As far as costs go, they're both about the same, in the low pgem range.

'Riza. It has cold, so you don't really need freezing arrow. It does enhance freezing arrows very well though.

Heya,

It depends on the rest of your gear. If you want to get as much on your weapon as possible, the Buriza is the one to go with (you can even `up the thing to achieve near ~470ish damage, which is quite similar to Windforce; though a ridiculous STR req, so keep it as an exec item unless you wear enigma or something I guess). It just has everything. Big damage, relatively good attack speed, elemental damage, pierce. It will never go much faster than it already goes, so it's a good choice if the rest of your gear is based on upping damage, getting resistances or focusing on other attributes to make you durable or deal more damage. Eaglehorn is a bow you can use when you want to focus on speed, as a bow, it will get faster than the buriza will with various gear setup.

I like both.

Just as a side note, I like Harmony on switch. Great elemental damage & prebuff Valk all in one for those moments you need some ele damage.

Also, while a Lum+Pul+P.Emerald is a steep cost, you can upgrade your Buriza as mentioned. The STR req goes up tremendously (163 str, 77 dex). If you look at the numbers, an up'd Buriza does more damage on a max dex zon than a normal Buriza does. Even with the STR difference (needing 53 STR more, and that means 53 less DEX). The damage is rather significant, resulting in hundreds of damage on average per shot. So if you want to get as end-game as possible with it, an up'd Buriza has zero equal in damage output until you jump up to Faith & Windforce. Eaglehorn gets left in the dust big time at this point.
