View Full Version : Using thrown java faster then replenish
I am currently creating a lightning amazon and I really like her, LF rocks against regular groups of enemies and CS deals with the strong ones. But I have one issue with her, I use thrown java way faster then that they replenish. How do other furries solve this issue?
Should I simply fill my inventory with trash java's for now? Or I could also try to get 2-3 good java's with replenish and circle between them.

I just have 2 weapon sets - 2x titans, when one depletes I just switch to the second one. Another option is to run to town (take time tho :p. Also, cant repair eth weapons anyhow) and repair, or just keep 1 more java stack in inventory ;)
I don't understand why noone uses ghost glaives though. Sure, they lack the +skills, but they have very fast replenish, and enough mana after each kill for you to be able to say goodbye to mana problems.

Never Thought of that...
That's a good idea.

that lack of +skills is a very big deal for javazons, especially for skills above level 20 and the fact that most of the javazon attacks are multi-target, each +skill will boost each CS or LF bolt

Still, with a merc wielding Infinity, a couple of skillers should be enough to use ghosts. My PvM LF zon have no skillers, and have no problems in Hell (non eth Titans).
Think I have a set of Ghost glaives somewhere, ill test it tonight and report back

I was wondering about this, and have an eth titans ready for use when I make my amazon... So if you can't repair it and have to wait, should I just get a carbon-copy on switch (albeit non eth probably and a worse shield)?
Also, does the durability go down when you use cs? I assumed so, seeing as you are using it to hit with..
The durability goes down when meleeing, but not as fast. It's like normal durability.
Eth titans are good, but I usually have another pair of titans on switch. If you have 2 eth titans, you'll be fine I think. Otherwise you could keep eth titans in stash and switch to those instead of repairing.

if you can afford infinity, you can afford multiple stacks of titans.

what i did with my javazon way back was use eth upgraded titans for charged striking and switch to regular exceptional (non-eth) titans for spamming fury, use some pots if necessary, not like they're hard to get
i agree that wraith flight isnt bad at all: 1. the loss of + skills doesnt affect LF that much since it gets basically nothing from synergies 2. +15 mana/kill is HUGE and allows you to spam LF like a madman therefore adding to your killing speed, something you cant really do with titans even with a mana leech ring, silkweaves (+5 mana/kill), huge physical damage (might merc, eth/up'd titans, highlord's wrath), etc. 3. that added mana allows you not to focus the rest of your gear on it so much 4. wraith flight has more physical damage than eth/up'd titans, which gives you more leech and helps with lightning immunes, which is what is slowing you down as a javazon (infinity or not). 5. like some of you said having more than one set of titans is usually necessary, especially if you cow. thats not a problem with wraith flight.
in the titan's defense though, they do have +4 skills, a whopping 30 more ias. +40 stats and +30 frw. all that killing speed is more or less moot if you have mana problems and you're always holding back though.
personally i dont have much mana problems using eth/up'd titans after having made the sacrifices i mentioned and, mana considered, they kill a bit faster than wraith flight imo. still, after a while i've grown to love wraith flight because it allows you to play more brainlessly and not have to concentrate as much on your mana bulb all the time, how many mana pots you have left, should i throw another LF or will it be a waste of mana, etc. all that becomes tiresome, while wraith flight = click stuff while watching tv. i mean, i dont mind something that requires skill and concentration as long as its enjoyable, but managing mana isnt... its just a ****ing pain.
if you wanna try it, get at least 40 ias though, or 55 even.
If you have manaproblems and have enough resources, you could use phoenix monarch. No manaproblems at all
i know, but then 1. you cast firestorm like a madman 2. you're more or less forced to wear coh for res.
personally i like enigma because you can control your merc and more importantly his conviction aura...

Why are you forced to use coh for res with phoenix?
I use enimga always and phoenix at times with no problems. (normally I use a 4x facet shield)
Rather then use things like 3/20 gloves use 2/20 with res mods etc. Couple of small res charms even if required. Which I do, and res are fine 75/75/75/73. ^_^
Mind you they are not stacked high, only about 10-15% over.
you need a bit of res from almost everywhere else then, which is a bit of a pain. whats your gear exactly and how many res charms do you have?
and yeah, if your resists are fine with phoenix then you might as well use a 20/20 and leech anyway :)

To drake.
Let me check :)
See below
Helm: Griff 5-5'd(main), Griff 15-15'd
Ammy: Maras(Main), Cats, highlords, 2zon/29stren/20eng/10mana/17res all
Java's: 2+java/2+zon/40ias/repair/+mana on kill(Main), ethTitans, Strokes
Armor: Enimga
Sheild: 20/20(main), SS ber'd, phoenix
Gloves: 2java/14stren/11dex/29%cold/11% light
Belt: Razor(main), Tgods, Arach
Ring1: 10% frc/5%mana steal/16stren/20mana/All res 8/mf7%
Ring2: Raven (allways :) )
Boots: 30frw/10fhr/2dex/29%light/39%fire/25%poison
Anni/torch: 20/20
SCs: 6-8 5% res charms
Stats with main gear on*:
Lv 94
3235hp with self bo/ 1894hp without
75% block (with all, phoenix excluded)
60% ias
52% fhr
12k CS
4.5k Fury
*Stats listed with all charms on
That's about it I think.
er i totally forgot about mara's (for res), which i think sucks anyway because it doesnt have ias.
i see its not a problem with your jav though, nice stuff!
i did say "you're more or less (forced to wear coh)" for a reason, i know its possible without and you're proof, but it costs a ton. tri-rest boots, 6-8 5% res and nice res on jav gloves... most people wont bother and stick a coh in there, or spirit/sanctuary if they want to keep enigma.
not to mention that if you want to keep the 52 ias bp (or whatever it is) with titans, you cant use mara's. you have to get some javs like yours to use it.

I was refering to the mana issue. I use cs a lot myself, well happy with a single set. Turns out I had Demon's Arch and not the Wraight, so no testing here anyway :whistling:
I don't understand why noone uses ghost glaives though.
because titans got better overall mods with +4 skills being most important and because glaives are slow. mana issues can be solved easily elsewhere (jewelry, belt, charms etc).
