Firebolt or Fireball for pvp?

Whats stopping you from using both? they are both maxed out on a fire sorc.
fbolt conserves mana while you spam allowing your mana to recover for es. fball has splash damage and usually (although not with all setups) has a bit more damage than bolt but costs more mana to spam.

well with my fb sorc what i do is firebolt 4 all chars except ele druids cause the splash effect from fireball takes out the summons really fast and then its a straight shot at the druid

in dueling where mana pot is generally allowed mana is never an issue.

Mana potting on ES sorcs is frowned upon to say the least hence WIzadept's post is spot on :wink:

Indeed, especially for level 30. Not only that, but you can sometimes throw them off guard by bombarding them with a bunch of bolts. Works wonders when stamina is low.
