D1 Online problems

Okey, I've beaten D1 several times but I've always wanted to play it online. The problem is, that when I click the Bnet button it's starting to connect... after about 5mins this message comes:

u must get the 1.09 patch manually (u get it from another source, since u can't connect to bnet until u have it).

What I did was when it asks if you want to run or save the file, I chose save and it didn't work (it saved the file to my documents but it won't get me on bnet). So I went back to the link and chose run. I had to do chose run a second time because the first time it did not successfuly save the file. The second time choosing run it said '...downlaoaded successfully' or w/e and I can now goto bnet for d1. Hope that helps.
