View Full Version : Questions about Bone/Summon Build
Hello all! Recently made a Bone/Summon Necro, and I really don't know what I should be using for switch weap. I have the Arm of Leoric as my main, so which one is better for this build? White? or Beast?
Also, How should I split my skill points?
I know I need
-20x Raise Skeles
-20x Skele Mast.
-20x Bone Spear
-1x Dim Vision
-1x Amp
-1x Summon Resist
But what should I do with the rest? Do they go into Spirit for synergy? Thank you all for the help and for reading this thread.
Bone/Summon hybrids are destined for failure...or at least to be disappointing. For bone skills to be effective, you really need to max all the synergies (which takes 102 skill points - max teeth, wall, prison, spear, spirit and then one point in armor and CE). Obviously, you are shorting these skills by AT LEAST 40-50 skill points when you decide to go the skellie route.
In the end you will end up with strong skellies (since you maxed them and mastery) and incredibly weak bone skills that you honestly will never use. The bone skills won't do any damage and they drain mana.
But if you are insistent that you want to try out this build, then I would equip your necro will the typical summoner equipment (beast over white, summon charms over PnB charms, ect...) because it will be your summons that will be your main attack....NOT your weak bone skills.
Ah truly words of wizdomm. I thank you greatly for your input! :D But the only reason why I considered Bone/Summon is that I've seen many clips of how effecient they can be solo-ing uber and whatnot, and I thought that would be a good route to go. But after reading what you have put down, I think I will really reconsider my necro, and might just go with being a fishymancer. Would the build in the "Mouldy Tome" sticky be a good one? Once again, thank you very much for your input

The Fishymancer guide is good build. Very good for soloing the game.
But i recommend that you max mages, and you keep revive, summon res, clay golem, golem mastery, and dim vision at 1, unlike nightfish
