Merc for PvP Bonemancer ?

Okay I know you guys would ask me to search but I did and the answers are so confusing, always "go with what you need" I know people would go over Act II Merc but which aura is the best for a PvP Bonemancer ? At least something that can give some help in PvP ?

I'm not a dueler, but I don't think you use a merc in PvP.

However, when you're leveling my guess is that a Holy Freeze merc works best. Defiance is a good second option if you are already wearing high-defense armor (which is normally not the case with bone necros). Might is useless because you're not dealing physical damage, and Blessed Aim too because your AR is not relevant. Prayer would be an option but I think the benefit of the HF aura is much bigger.

You DEFINITELY won't be using a merc in PvP. It's considered bad manners by most people and even if it's not...are you going to constantly rehire your merc for 50K a pop after every duel you lose (on average expect to lose half the time)...and he will die in most duels that you win as well? Forget the merc for dueling. It won't work.

Now, you will obviously have to level your character in PvM so I will tell you the best merc options for that. I would hire an Act 2 merc and arm him with an Insight (you will need the mana desperately). As for which variety of Act 2 merc...well none are really great for a boner. But holy freeze, defiance, and prayer are all decent choices. Prayer (especially when combined with Insight) is interesting because the Prayer aura and the Mediation aura feed off each other to constantly keep your red and blue orbs full.
