Note: I never really got any replies to my last thread, so I'm basically just repasting it.

I like the vanquisher build (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=438088) cause it seems with it I can do ubers/dclone and mf with hammers. This is how I'm planning mine.

Skills: max hammer, max holy shield, max concentration, max vigor, 1 salvation, 1 fanaticism, 1 redemption, prerequisites, and the rest into blessed aim.

Helm: Guillaumes
Armor: Vipermagi/up'd Vipermagi (mainly cause of the fcr & resists)
Shield: Spirit
Weapon: Probably Azurewrath. Cheap, effective, and doesn't need repairs.
Gloves: Magefist or Trangs (with Dracs in stash for ubers)
Boots: Gores
Belt: Either credendum or IK belt for resists
Jewelry: Ravenfrost for cbf, and the rest will be whatever is needed
Charms: Anything with resists. No anni or torch so I can actually pick them up with the character.

With this I should have 75 fcr, lifetap, decent damage, and decent resists.

Wanted to know how well this would do with PvM and ubers, or if you guys had any suggestions. Thanks!

p.s. Would a 7 fps smite still work well enough for ubers?

I'd use redeemer over azurewrath. I think elemental damage doesn't work with smite. I'd rather use a fcr ring than fcr gloves, so you can aim your gloves toward something else

Well I chose azurewrath mainly because it has ias on a phase blade and it's cheap. A redeemer would have better damage, but it will give me a much slower attack speed. I am figuring I'll most likely need speed more than damage. Also a phase blade requires no repairs, which I found I had to do constantly when I used a heaven's light on a smiter last ladder. I'd love to have a grief, but that is way out of my price range.

Honestly I would like to be able to use some different gloves, but unless I get 35 fcr on a spirit, it seems like it would be too much of a stretch to wear anything else.

Btw I did check. It seems you're right about elemental damage not carrying over into smite.
