This happened to me a couple days ago. The picture (http://diablo.incgamers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1505&cat=590) is a re-creation. I didn't have the presense of mind to screenshot it at the time for some reason.:crazyeyes: This happened in level2 of the palace celler in Hell.

I was going to post this in the 'almost dead' section of the HC forum, but I think it is better suited for here.

OFC, this scene played out very rapidly. "OMG! arrows coming from everywhere!" (lvl15)DV,DV,DV! "They are still coming!" Mages down, attempt DV again, skells down, recast BA, Gumby down, Edge rogue down, RUN!!

I made it back to level 1 with only a couple revives left. I regrouped and went back down and took the whole mess out in 10-20 seconds. How do you think I did that? :whistling:

I'd throw up a bonewall in front of the archers to block the arrows buying a big fat case of survivability

Confuse/attract to break up you as the target. Maybe some tele to stack minions.
Once you get some initial kills, well ce clears the screen.

ps you know if you put about 100pdr on your guy you can just stand their in the archer pack getting shot and shot and shot again and simply "lol" at the zero damage. OFC with your decrep you'd only need 40-70 to pull off the same thing.
gbane+ necro circ of life everlasting or a 25pdr ammy your styling against pretty much anything.

Yep, you are close enough. It wasn't BW though, it was Bone Prison. It was at lvl24 att, which means it cost a measily 4 mana to cast . Even with only 50FCR in Hell, I can spam those things all over the screen in no time.

It plays out,BP-BP-BP, (you get the idea), AMP, attract, CE, Revive, rinse and repeat.

He is lvl82 now, with BP maxed (27) I consider this build complete. At this level Bone Prison is basicly a free skill. If I get hit with mana-burn, I should still be able to cast it.

I am so pleased with this guy! I feel a mini guide may be on the way. I might call it the modern jailer or something.

Damage reduction is next on my list!

The last time I took a Necro through the palace I had a similar scenario. It was my usual army and a strafer 'Zon. She kept blasting tons and tons of arrows and wasn't really doing any damage, suggesting it was a PI mob or just couldn't be hit.
None of my curses were working at all.
I had the strafer back up and I made a suicide jump over one of the walls with a tele-stick and nearly lost the Necro before the minions got into place and took down the main archer pack.
The strafer types to me, "You didn't really seem to be in control back there."
My thoughts being, well...neither did you.

You use an Edge Rogue? There's part of your problem right there.

Ah, the Thorns AOE was greater than the DV. That sounds quite reasonable.
