I've decided to make a PvM poison-mancer with full trang-oul set. This is about 60 skill points for maxing poison synergies. And I'll probably get 1 in every curse, which results in 70 used skill points.

So what do I do with the 30-40 extra skill points?

- mages: haven't seen a build that does this build. Would it be viable?

- skeleton warriors (with might merc): this is definetely a good candidate.

- bone armor and synegies and just solo it?

- any other suggestions?

before you start investing into skeles, try 1 point revive. Revived make excellent meat shields and you will have several from your +skills. You can even use them in Uber Trist. That will leave you with even more points leftover, which I prefer to max out golem mastery and make an insight iron golem.

I don't see Poisonmancers being spell spammers. I say you go for 1 in each curse (except Attract and Confuse), 1 in each summoning (except Fire Golem), and then 20 in CE, PN, and Synergies. That comes out to 98 points.

If you want a less CC approach, go with Dim Vision instead of PN. Blind them, Poison them, then Burn them while they just stand there and take it.

Go for items that add +all skills instead of +necromancer skills whenever possible. That will boost your Fire Wall, Fire Mastery, etc. which will give you a very potent way to get your first kill on Poison Immunes before blowing up the rest with CE.

After the initial investments in Poison Dagger (20), Poison Explosion (20), Poison Nova (20), and curses up to Lower Resist plus Dim Vision (8)...you have the following options:

Put 1 point in Bone Armor and then max either Bone Wall or Prison.
Put 20 points in Skel Mastery and then 1 point in Revives.
Put 20 points in Skel Warriors and then as many as possible in Mastery.
Put 20 points in Golem Mastery if you plan to make expensive Iron Golem.

Of the above options, I would strongly recommend #1 if you ever plan on PvPing. You'll need the extra defense. Options #2 and #3 are typical of most PvMers...but I would only go with #2 if I had enigma. Revives without enigma are a pain in the backside. Option #4 is not very typical of poison necros. You may not even need an Insight golem since your Trangs set (and assuming you will use SOJs) will give you plenty of mana.

My suggestion: max Dim Vision, rest in Lower Resist. Blind monsters, then poison them. Make a necromancer without minions (perhaps except for a Clay Golem). I've built this variant last season and finished Hell without problem.

I'd say getting a level 26 lower resist after +skills. There are no other options which increase raw damage more than this.
