View Full Version : Stacked Res-
how much stacked res would sum1 have if i fight them as a cold sorc?
i could get -290 after items+cm
and in hell they get -100
It's ridiculously easy to stack enough resistance to negate a cold sorc. However, most people don't bother as it kills the point of dueling. On average, most players won't stack past 100 - 150 if even that much.

2 raven frost rings is the easiest way to survive a blizzard. If you use 2 raven you need only 100-150 stacked cold resist unless you encounter a very high budget cold sorc then you might wanna get 200 cold resist to avoid one hit kills.

I'd say two ravens is by far worse than stacking res. You usually have to sacrifice quite a bit in IAS/FCR/Skills/Etc to use said stack gear. Absorb is as easy as popping on two rings, and effectively prevents 80% of the damage (assuming you have enough life for them not to kill you in one hit, as the healing part, half of that 80%, only occurs if you don't die).

as all the above posters stated, it is easy to stack resist for a single element; my zealot have over 300+ resist for cold(not including the resist given by anya quest; in other words all of them are from items) and with 40% cold absorb from dual raven. but i only use my resist gears for sorc that bm public zeal/melee games.

incorrect, stack is worst than sorb as stack takes down the damage consistently. However sorb on the other hand the first hit ignores sorb gear, by this point you could be probably already dead or on low hp without any stack. And it is quite easy to stack on alot of chars even if it not max stack but enough to make it much less dmging i.e 150-200 cold res or something.
Also fade + thawing pots this is 110 res already stacked + nice res boots and kira helm this is near 200 res stacked. And there are many more ways..
