My necro was my first char, and now he has turned into my MF-char. My question is: what do summonernecros really shine at? Do i keep doing (slow) runs with my necro or do i make a sorc and tele anywhere in seconds?

Necros aren't the fastest killers, but if you invest in corpse explosion then unless there are a lot of players in the game you should move pretty quickly. Also make sure that your merc does good damage so that you can get that first corpse easily.

Yeah, i know that. Thanks anyway, i guess ill just keep running til i get enigma then teleport around like a maniac
its simply that, sorc is faster, necro is safer

Necro works better at area clears (e.g. Pits or Ancient Tunnels)--Sorc is better for single target (boss runs).
Summoners are great for clearing out areas, but add an Enigma and they can (almost) teleport with the best of them. It's nice to not worry about Immunities, ever.

^This.
Summoners have no problem in WSK or CS, but Sorcs have a harder time doing those in full clears (depends on the quality of gear, of course).
Your necro can stack a ton more MF than most any other character (aside from a Barb) and still be effective (unlike a Barb), so don't be discouraged.

They shine when they're in open areas, ie, clear a zone, not just bosses with high ilevel drops. That would be the Pits, Ancient Tunnels, WSK, Chaos Sanc, etc. Which ever is doable for you based on your gear and experience and nerve. Pits & Ancient Tunnels are very easy as a necro and the drops can be anything in the game, literally, and all the runes. Just kill the big areas over and over. Each random little dude in there could drop you something crazy.
Zone clearing is a slower way to MF, but you get a larger variety of things. Act-end boss killing only gets you uniques and sets and rares really.
I find that necros are great for magic finding with no magic find. This is great for killing high level areas for socketed items and ethereal items. These things often trade for MORE than your typical set and unique. They're the basis for the runewords, and people prize them highly. Get the right combination of ethereal and sockets and you have something that will trade for nearly anything in the game. Great way for a necro to go from nothign to "whatever you want."
Cheers,

I never really believed that until a devilkin dropped me an almost perfect HoZ while on a countess run. Now I prefer area clears.
