Some questions on poison and starting out

Hey.

I haven't played much in a couple years, but I decided to start out again. I'm starting completely fresh, so chances of me getting any even remotely decent gear for a long time is pretty low.

I had a question about poison.

Does poison prevent monster heals while they are poisoned? I know monsters heal pretty fast in Hell, so does this help with that?

I am level 13 right now, and was originally planning on going a certain route, but changed my mind, I decided to go with a more summoner type route. So I have an extra point in poison dagger, and I don't want it to be completely useless, so I thought that perhaps I could also get a point in poison explosion and then poison nova, just for the purpose of using poison nova to prevent monster healing when it becomes a problem.

So will it help with that at all even with just one point in it?

Yes. Poison prevents monster heal.


So will it help with that at all even with just one point in it?

Yes. Any amount of poison will stop monsters from regenerating.

You will have to recast it alot though, due to the short duration. A good skill level poison mage have an insane poison duration and will prevent the monsters from healing for up to several minutes.
