Hey guys,

So after going into a game titled "Godly duels" to watch, I was victim of something called a desync hack.

I'll set the stage. In A1, going out to the bridge to watch, wearing full IK set, and some paladin appropriately named "Desyncer" (account name *townportal).

He keeps asking me to trade, asking me STUPID questions about the set that are common knowledge (set bonuses, weapon, sockets). Seeing that BtK trade hack video, I didn't want to take the chance by putting my item in the window.

So time goes by, I run to the chest, he begs me to trade with him, offering me Jah + ber + ist for the whole set, I figure I mean that's too good to be true, and he keeps asking me to trade with him on the bridge.

So...he opens a trade window, closes it, opens it, blah blah blah. Then he asks me to... take off just the armor. Just as I was going to do so to shut him up, I notice my health orb drop from 2000 hp to 225 hp. I immediately leave game.

How did that happen? Was I just seeing things? How could my health orb go down in a trade screen?

So I see a game with 50 seconds elapsed entitled "Free Godly Items" and guess what, my health orb really is at 225 hp, and the same paladin named "Desyncer" was there offering free items... ON the bridge and just infront on the blood moor.

...now my intuition here is that being the char's name is Desyncer, that there is a 3rd party program that basically lags you into thinking you're in town when you're not, or somehow is able to move you OUT of town while you don't even go out.

So, moving forward, don't join ANY public games past normal.

Just out of curiosity, was anyone else in the game?

Edit: Also, no offense, but anyone who joins duel games to watch deserves to lose their character. Not necessarily to a lame glitch, but it's incredibly annoying for the people sitting around for hours waiting for a dueler, then someone joins, and they refuse to leave town. Or even worse, the game fills up and the idiots who aren't there for duels refuse to leave. Ugh. And people complain when I try to PvP in their PvM games ><

It's the rogue bug. Hostile rogue mercs can shoot their arrows into town. Usually they have someone running back and forth near the entrance to aggro the rogue and direct her arrows. The trade window thing was just to buy them time to do it.

Well, thank you very much for explaining that for me. I apologize if it seems a bit hasty, I just wanted to everyone to be aware of something like this.
