View Full Version : best way to find a summoning head
say i want a +3 summon skeletons, +3 summoning skills offhand. what would be the best way to go about it? i wouldnt be upset if it it had +3 summon mastery on it either.
I dont think theres anywhere to shop this, is there an base item or ilvl that i should cube?

I don't think it's possible to get +3 tree and +3 RS on the same item.
the necro heads get random mods, i dont see why you wouldn't be able to get a magic mod of +3 summoning on that?
+ to lvl 1 skills requires item level 1-24
Golemlords prefix (+3 summoning which is a prefix and not staffmod mind you) requires an ilvl 60 or higher.
There is a way to come around it, but it reuires lots or perfect skulls, patience and luck. Read the "wand question" thread in the necromancer forum for details. Although, even a perfect head of that type can only get +2 necro skills and +3 to desired staff mods at best
thanks lumpor. a rare offhand and 6 pskulls per roll does seem pretty steep. not really worth it for me. maybe if all i played was the nec ;)
Here's something you can do if you're too low level to equip Homunculus or whatever.
Find a white or 2-socket head with +3 Summon Skeleton or +3 Skeleton Mastery or whatever staff mods you like on it and stick EthLum in it for the Splendor Runeword. That will add +1 all, +20 mf, and some other nice little mods. Not awesome, but should hold you until you get the really good stuff.
