Aldur's Rhythm Sockets

I just picked up an Aldur's Rythm from NM Mephisto and was wondering what is the best way to socket it. I have a variety of socket fillers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Aldur's weapon is not great; its damage is much lower than other weapons (uniques and runewords), and even if you socket it with 3 shaels it's pretty slow.

I've never seen a Barb use it; can't really think why anyone would. Some druids use it as part of the full set, normally as a Fireclaws Werebear, but even then the setup is far from optimal.

If it's just a temporary weapon, you can put orts or topazes in it.

on a barb even a low ED fleshrender (unique barbed club) will do better and only costs a few pgems

I would put in three ITH runes for +27 max damage and use it until you find or trade for something better, which won't take long. At lvl84 you can get good results crafting an elite axe or mace. Look for one in act5 nightmare and act1 hell.
