Returning, looking for guidance.

Hello everyone,

as many, the news about D3 made me dust off my old cd's. I have looked thru many posts and i got to admit that i am lost now....

1- As everyone, (or almost) i will play mp and i want to know which build which build to use to solo it all at any diff ? I have seen Paly Zeal but there was a lot of confusion in the post.

2- Talking about the Paly Zeal, i have seen post saying to put enough Str for Max damage and Dex for max block.... How do i know when it will be max dmg and max block ?

3- What is the difference with the battlenet with the servers and the open battlenet ?

1. There are many good "starter builds", but personaly(since your going untwinked) I would suggest fishymancer or blizz sorc.

2. There's no such thing as max damage. The "normal" way to put your stat point is str enough to wear your items, dex either none or enough for max block. No points in energy, and the rest in vita. Open the character screen and hover your mouse over defense. This should tell you how much block you have(obviously you need a shield to be able to block). 75% is max.

3. AFAIK, the difference is that you can play with your single player characters in open b.net. This also means you will propably meet a lot more hackers/cheaters/edited chars, since the single player chars are stored in your game files, whereas in clossed b.net the chars are stored in blizzards end, so you cant mess with them.

1.) try a Fishymancer as main char, 1 point smiter later for Ubers/dclone
& a Sorc, Orb sorc, is handy for rushing norm/NM,

2.) enough str for gear, & enough dex for endgame weps, which = Grief PB, for pvm, so 115 str / 136 dex including what Gear & charms gives, rest into vita,

Max Holy Shield, Fanaticism, Zeal & Resist Lightning (gives passive +10% max light res)

3.) recommend usin Closed Battle Net, try US East (ladder + expansion) server

I got a lvl 85 summon necro & 77~ 1 point smiter on US east, if ye want help starting or getting low gear, like Sigons etc :P

Thanx for your offer Chadra but, as i said, i want to do it on my own. I found out why i have quit most of the games i had fun playing, power leveling and having others equip me as a lvl 543....

So, i do this on my own :)
