Synergised weapon switch ES?

Does anyone know if you can use an ES from a weapon switch (no hard points in ES) and put hard points into telekinesis to synergise the ES? Will that work? Or is a synergy only made when I actually place a point in ES?

Nope. You need to invest the points.

I believe that if if you max telekinessis and use a staff with energy shield (Memory) you will get the .75 to mana energy shield.

I'm pretty sure that your ES will still gain the benefit of your hard points in TK, no matter how you get access to it.
