Probably ignorance...where are all the games?

Hi guys,

This is a simple question, where are all the hard core games? A lot of the time I click join, the same game are listed for hours and a lot of the time there is no scroll bar on the side.

Is this all due to tppk and hacks?

Most people on HC play private games either solo or only with a group of friends so they don't ever get PK'd, etc.

Don't know how the others hold it, but i dont even enter a public game once a char is high in the 80s, because there are townkill hacks which can kill you at charsy or near the campfire. Not to mention i never play pubbies past level 20. I don't know how i would react if a highlevel char of me would be killed like this.

Private is going strong, just take a look at all the people applying in the Banana/Gauss threads.

As for me, I believe I have only ever pub quested, hmm, once. It was the very start of this ladder where me, Tai, Mouse, and someone else (sorry I forgot >_<) were in a different game then the main CTA group due to the stupid reset being early.

Yeah lot of idler's in the channel this weekend, I was "forced" to play pub games awhile. I saw no less then 4 people get waxed while baaling norm-nm.
(one guy lived thru an attempt woot!)
Me? I'm never the first in a portal, I check character levels carefully and felt pretty good with my 95 cold res with like 100ish stack (and I pre-load thawing pots too while waiting for the throne portal)

moral of the story is pick and choose your battles , and if you cant afford to die then skip on the pubs. :coffee:
