Oak vs Wolverine

Honestly I got to lvl 81 this weekend and have oak almost maxed and for the life it gives I dont know if it is worth the trouble. I read threads and stuff about how "necessary" it is and that it needs to be maxed, but for as much as it dies I dont understand why bother with it. Im going to be an uber running druid, just need to get my grief so that I am set for the damn IM skellies. Then other odds and ends. My hammerdin will get muh keys and my druid will do the rest.

In your opinions which do you think is better. Im pretty sure Im going to scrap this one and remake and switch a few things around but not sure when I do this if I should go full wolverine or oak. I mean as a fury druid going for Ubers, wolverine sounds so much better. Is it simply preference? What are your guys experiences with wolverine and its' survivability?

I mean imagine, a might merc with thresher, eth shaft (just got this morning woot), and vamp. Then we throw in spirit of the wolverine, some dire wolves and birds just for kicks. Doesn't he sound hot?

I'm building my first Fury druid atm, and it was a hard choice between them from what everyone said in all the different guides but I've ended up going with HoW after initially deciding to go for Oak, just because oak died so much in the early levels I thought it was better to have something I wouldn't notice as much. Now that I have HoW I'm glad I did. Still dies a lot but don't notice as much as I would with oak. Also, I went for the cold aura desert merc to freeze everything, so the extra dmg is from HoW too. But then I'm a first-time druid so what would I know :whistling:

What is the level on the wolverine and does it stay alive for the most part longer? What level are you and what type of gear do you have? I am only asking not for epeen stroking but just to get an idea to compare.

Neither spirit will stay alive that long, they tend to wander into the middle of a pack of monsters and die. Overall I stick with Oak on any built save a titan wolf where you go for all out dmg. Some people like the extra life from Oak but hate how your total life gets cut in half when it dies in the heat of battle. For trist forget the merc he just draws unwanted attention.

If you have might merc i recommend oak. If you have hf merc I recommend wolverine. The more ed you have, the less every point helps
