A popper?

I looked around and i couldn't find a thread that explained how to make a popper


I was in a hell cs game and everyone told me instead of having a mf sorc i should get a Popper. So i haven't the slightest idea how to make a popper. I have never made a barb before : \

So i was wondering what class of barb is the easiest, mace, axe or sword?
How many points to put into each stat for gear?
What Stats to max and what to put my skills into?
What monsters to Mf with it?


P.S. Where is the best spot to find a Stone of Jordan?

I recommend you search the barbarian section of these forums, there's alot of guides for basic barbarian building (which a popper is) in there.
I don't know of the best place to find SOJ's but you could start by running Andariel in Hell, I think she's the fastest and easiest to get to. Remember, that a SOJ can also lay in a chest or even a pot..

Just make a character and play it to 85-90 and you should get nice gear to it and maybe to future characters too. No need to make ****ty runs or characters that do only 1 thing, find items.

yeah but finding them while building character beats everything else. Leveling barb to 86 without repeating any bosses or such gained me items to my barb, almost whole sorc gear and necro gear. :) When I play sorc and necro to 80 I should have loads more items again!!

Agree with you 100% Akse. :)
I found my best items while normally leveling my chars(walking trough all the acts, gathering act 2 staff, act 3 flail, flayering, riverruns, ect).

Yeah and nowadays when so much crap loot drop I would be pissed after a while of doing those runs. 100 rares where 5-10 are usefull isn't much fun :) when u go around killing things for exp you don't notice the amounth of crap loot and time wasted on those so easy. When u get nice item by doing that oh the joy :)

Advantage while you're leveling is also that you usually have plenty of town stops to sell all the wands, staffs, scepters and armors to make a nice bit of gambling gold. With my Glitcher I've gotten lots of rares from Meph and Andi and all of them where close to being useful, but they just didn't make the cut.

Not sure if you guys have played much diablo but specially here in the europe realms ppl dont make chars that can kill monsters anymore so im guessing thats why ppl make 'run chars'. What a shocking waste !

Yep indeed. A friend plays LOD and he has 2 sorcs.. one to bot pindle and other to bot pindle shenk and eltrich. And what else he does? Nothing... he just bots. He plays maybe 2 hours a day trading stuff he found with bots..

I have made 1 mf char in my d2 history, a lance barb that equipped some serious monster killing stuff that had great amounth of MF and couple uniques tarnhelm, chanceguards, goldwrap for some extra MF that didn't affect much on the killing. THen he had find item skill. This barb was as good as any other barb I made for killing monsters, but he just found more items. Every other character I have made and will make I equip and build for killing monsters, not finding items.

Well things were different before lod when most tried to build either good pvp or good pvm characters not good mf or rush characters. And many liked to compete in the ladders.
