According to "The Mighty Kodiak" guide I read, the Azurewrath is generally the best weapon for a Kodiak.

However, I believe the guide was written in 1.10. Has anything changed since then? Any better weapons for a Kodiak?

I've gone up to lvl 90+ with both builds, both are good in their own ways. I don't even like Hunger that much.. I think it kinda sucks, I spent a lotta the time using maul 'cause even with slower speed and very few points in it it still killed twice as quick, but hungers sorta fun to use so I wont knock it >.<. Azurewrath with enough CB kills quick through early hell but sorta let me down latter hell. Stormlash... what can I say about the weapon, its just phenomenal. I used it once ladder reset in a Hungry Hurricane build one of my first ones, and mainly a lotta charms I just picked up along the way and it just cleared hell. If I remade the build now I'm sure I could just maul down the enemies twice as fast, but the weapon is solid.. its perfect for that sorta build because it has all the right mods and weakens all neighboring enemies with static, so in the long run takes the cake over azure damagewise.

anyways,

best offensive- stormlash
best defensive- azure

I'd say Hunger is a support skill, not a primary. I'm too tired to give a full post so if you want an explanation ask me :D.

I agree that Stormlash is a good choice; you could also go with the setup that Safetypro uses for his Town Dump Bear: the IK maul in combination with the IK belt/gloves/boots.

I normally use Maul and switch to Hunger when my red bulb is down to 60%. 1-2 hits is enough to refill, and to switch back to Maul.

that's a good point, I forget about 2handers. IK is a great option with hunger.. it pretty much has all the damage and mods you'd need. I almost think Hunger works best for two handers to tell the truth 'cause they do just so much more damage, you get much better returns.

I'd say Hunger is a support skill, not a primary
Yea I totally agree. But wasn't sure which sorta style he was going for.. 'cause I know some Hunger Builds really just wanna run around and bite with hunger primarily using Azure, or w/e, whereas others just throw it in as a backup skill. So.. yea
