Druids = best pvp class?

I have been playing on Bnet for a little while, and just having fun with summoner necro. Want to try another caster, and was thinking either sorc or druid. I did a little reading on the bnet chat room, and a bunch of people said elemental druids pretty much stand alone as pvp characters.

Now I am just starting to look at the spells, and trees, and ect. This place has been an excellent source of info for me in the past, and wanted to see if you guys confirm or deny what the people in the chat were saying.

Honestly, imo and from what I have seen/heard paladins own the pvp arena. This isn't to say though that druids dont far well.

yeah hammerdin does seem to be pretty hardcore, but I played one on single player... just isn't my thing.

For druid caster for pvp the overall belief seems to be wind > fire... You guys think that is true?

I pretty much want to confirm stuff I am reading else where on the board cause there are tons of people that post here that know all the ins and outs of the different classes.

im not just talking about hammerdins I mean come on, smiters, zealers, templars. They have all the skills necessary to make them angry pvp'ers. Fury can compete with zeal to a degree but they lack the defense that zealers are still able to have with all the same damage capabilities. Windy I would say is the overall best pvp spec.

Wind druids are quite fun, and quite capable in the pvp arena. They can get expensive to gear up but once you get the hang of aiming tornados, teleing away to resummon, telestomp, etc, they are one of the better pvp characters.

Theres also the fury/rabies hybrids that are really good for pvp as long as u build it right! From what I have seen wind druids do reasonable dmg but go down very easily. Just my own observations. =)

aw for a second i was thinking you meant shapeshifters. in which case id totally agree just to see everyone cry and whine.

but yeah windy's although not #1 pvp class, its forsure at the top of the list somewhere.

It's like... 30% build, 60% skill 10% luck. So skill >>> build. Therefore, no one build is the best.

I totally agree. Damage has gotten so ridiculoso these days its like most of the heavy hitter casters have the ability to drop eachother in a few hits, its all a matter of who's best at doing that lol

...just remember tho, reshape is FOREVER maiuahahha! :P suckit hammers
