Hey I've been playing my din for about 3 weeks now on and off and I'm almost 91. But when I first started I didn't have anything like all of us so I put my base strength up too 60 just encase I got something sexy but needed more strength too use. Well now my din is all geared out and the base strength on it isn't needed anymore. So my real question is should I rebuild my din with pure vitality and keep him lord (I baron ed my din) or just keep going with my current din till the end? Would 105 life be worth it? Thanks

well for pvm, it hardly matters too much.

a few pts less of vit isn't earth shattering. u probably have plenty of life that u never die. so it doesnt really matter. for pvm anyways.

Yeah I can't remember the last time I died so life isnt an issue but i think im gonna make a din on the side that will be my rebuild and eventually just switch everything over, and ill have more imbues and everything so i guess, its not complete waste of time, id rather be lord too =)

Yep.

If you're going to level a char up high, might as make it nice.

I'd do it now before you level any further...but I love base str on my dins :D

concurs,

thats true. if u gonna make high level u might as well have it as perfect as u can.

long as he doesn't mind leveling back up a new paladin. up to him.

I've had many high levels with messed up stats :) Had one 87 level hc lancer in 1.09 with 1 extra point in increased stamina :) Damn it always annoyed so much, but starting a new one wasn't an option since I used much time in River already.

I've had some sorcs with a bit higher strenght. One had 91 with gear since I had these godly Greaves(10rw/ 4xlightres 4xfire res 16str) that required 75 strenght. To achieve that strenght I had like 45 base. It didn't really bother me much :) but nowadays I always try to build up with base strenght. Sometimes it is really hard when starting untwinked from scratch, but in the end if you manage to get great gear it really pays off .)

Nowadays I rather use gemmed helm for example to get enough strenght for equipment untill I find better rares with +strenght than using rares and pumping strenght.

Anyways if you plan to make a new one, maybe you can use the old one for MFing. You have 60 base strenght, put a ward or something for 10 more and then get 10 str somewhere and you can already use Goldskin. Goldskin and ward should offer nice resists in Hell and rest of the gear you can just pump for MF gear.

i used to do that, but its really hard with base str/dex unless u already have all the gear u wanna use. and i did use 3 socket masks ( lowest str req hats at 23? that can get 3 sockets) for +30 str or +30 dex. problem with doing it that way is u don't get to use a hat if u need one. or using weak sets (like cathan=str) for str/dex. but than u have even less gear u wanna use. the more gear i use jsut to raise my str/dex i found made me weaker and weaker because i didn't have the gear i wanted/needed.

so now i raise my str/dex to the gear i wanna use. and if i come across good gear with +str/dex on it, oh well. yes i wasted some stat pts on str/dex but its hard to be perfect for me when i'm not that rich in gear (yet. got long ways to go).

i kinda base it on about a couple of decisions:

1. if its a build where the skills give damage or whatever than i will put 100 str into it for option of silks.

2. if its a build that i might wanna use a shard for i'll put 51 dex for it.

3. if i wanna use goldskin (for resists) or tanc (for mf) than i put 80 str in.

4. if i wanna make a melee build usually i put 170 str in for ornate armor (def rating).

5. etc...

i know in the end i usually will end up wasting stat pts, but for me its worth it, jsut to avoid the hassle of dealing with the gear and str/dex if i just put the needed pts into str/dex from stat pts instead of trying to get it with gear.

it jsut makes everything so much easier for me and thats well worth it for me

Hmmz keep your high str pala and turn it to ornadin. I'll sell you nice 99 ed +2 20 prism dmg to mana ancient shield :whistling:

Would start again if i were you cause my main mfer is cs pala -> convenient it to be fk. If its just your gambler then would not start over since the extra hp you gain is not overly important in pvm like stated in previous answers and starting over just sets you back those 3 weeks you have leveld this din...

Yeah, and the way I play it wouldn't work. My computer is at a friends and i only play there. But i am now 91 and 13th on ladder and 10th on din ladder =P Pretty good for a character that is not even a month old and started late in the new reset, and here is a weird way too look at it. I have good dexterity gear so my dexterity is base and strength is 60, and i use shard. The shard works the best in my opinion so I just used my strength instead of dexterity. Sounds good in my head so I'm just gonna continue with this guy. My character name is Fastkid btw. Have I played with anyone here?
