So what did the purple penguin mean?

i have nothing more to add than what I put on that page. None of the d3 team at the WWI seemed to know. I think it was largely an inside joke by the webteam.

The only connection to d3 I've noted is the word "harbinger" since that's used in the description of the meteor that crashes into Tristram Cathedral. I refuse to entertain the notion that that stupid purple penguin, or anything inspired by such concept art, will actually be in D3, though. Refuse refuse refuse you can't make me.

Curious. Even when the penguin was only partially revealed, I sourfrowned after realizing that no matter what tiles were left to uncover, the image was something I didn't want to have associated with D3.

Anyone remember the penguin easter egg in WC3: TFT? I think it was in the level where Arthas finds Saphiron (sp). You go down a hidden path and there is this giant penguin, the "Penguin King" I think. After you hack him up you get some item.

I don't suppose aside from the meteor impacts and hell's invasion of sanctuary that there could have been some sort of purple oil catastrophe near a penguin inhabited island? Purple oil that twists them into evil versions of their once peaceful and enlightened penguin society. Why them, Why?!
