Does anyone use Aldur's set? Is it worth anything? It seems to me that the druid got the short end of the stick when it comes to the class-specific sets, yes?
Tal Rasha, IK and Trang's are highly valued. I know less about Nat's but it looks pretty good as well. But Aldur's?
What's your opinion?

Please try using the search feature on these forums if you are looking for a build using the Aldur's set. There are a few builds that can make it work, but in no way is it the best for any build. Check the price check forum/trade forums if you are wanting a price to trade it away or to trade for it. The Aldur's set imo is the worst class specific set, but it is cheap so it can be some starter gear that can be replaced in the future.

I wasn't really looking for a build, just general opinions on the set. I did search it but couldn't come up with much...which led me to think it wasn't foremost in anyone's minds, unlike something like Tal Rasha's. :p

It's crap for FC bears, fury wolves, and ele builds. Can work for a summoner, and a few other mix and match builds but meh...best part about it...the GLOW!!!!
I disagree. :scratchchin:

You can use Aldurs for many characters, but in each case it's easy to think of a more effective setup. So people use it mainly either for style or because it's very cheap.
Personally I have made a Fireclaws Bear and a Wind Druid with Aldur's and managed to finish the game without problems. I still intend to try a Fire Druid sometime.

FC is the most plausible use of Aldur's
I have a FC Bear using Aldur's and he managed pretty well. The 3 sockets on the weapon and the 2 sockets on the pelt give some room to make viable builds.
The weapon is clearly the weakest part in the set, the boots are nice piece of equipment (+FRW, + resists) and the rest is ok.

ele builds
Aldur's has five empty sockets and free shield, two rings, amulet, belt and glove spaces.
You could make a snazzy fire druid if you had some facets.
