I've finally reached level 85 with my fireclaws bear druid and I find that I don't have nearly the health pool that many of the guides say is possible. With Oaksage up, I have 2801 health at 350 vitality. Clearly vitality is not as good as raw + life items/charms, as it does not recieve bonuses from lycanthropy etc. Also, my resist are a bit lacking, but that defecit will be soon remedied (read on).

My gear is as follows:
Head : Jalals
Gloves : Magefists
Boots : Goreriders
Chest : 2+ Valor
Belt : Dungos
Rings : Raven and BK WB
Ammy : Sarcens Chance
Weapon : 4 Sheal Gris Caddy
Shield : Stormshield (Thanks to the replies on my previous thread )
**Note that all items have not been socketed and runed/jeweled yet**

I don't have the fund currently to facilitate the purchase of Enigma or CoH, though those are clearly better options for the chest. I'm currently working towards a Maras, which should help with the resist situation, and my 4 Sheal phase blade with two 15% ias/15% all resist jewels is nearing completion. With that being said, what should I look for to get more health? I've been buying up small charms of vita, but I feel that my actual gear is lacking in some way. Bloodfists are possible, but is that health bonus greater than the skill that Magefists give? Should I perhaps put a P ruby in valor or what? I only saw two guides to fireclaw bears in the sticky, and neither of them seemed to be too enlightening. If i missed something, please let me know. Input is apprechiated, thanks.

Dwarf will give you life/fire sorb use it instead of the BK. Think about aldurs boots instead of gores, your not dealing that much physical dmg so the bonuses on gores are low. The valor could always use a Pruby. What level is your lycan at?

If you can, later on,Try to get Fortitude. That is the best armor for Wolves/Bears with the 200%ED.Also,BOTD is a nice choice for a weapon(Sword,Axe,Maul).just those 2 things will give you some nasty damage.

Except that he's a FC Druid, meaning most, if not all, of his damage is fire based. Fort won't do anything because it'll be amplifying a low damage weapon. EBotD won't do anything because it's far too slow to make effective in most duels.

OP- Is your Lycan maxed? Most FC Druids only max three synergies and Lycan instead of all four synergies.

I just maxed my 3rd synergy and am saving points at this time...trying to decide whether to max the fourth or go lycan...Im definately leaning towards lycan, so that should make a difference.

Im thinking of switching out to Bloodfists and Aldurs Boots over Magefists and Goreriders...any thoughts?

I would, the added 1 to fire skills isn't worth the loss of life and FHR that Bfist provides. Also, you don't need Gore's for this build and Aldur helps fill in the resist gap you mentioned.

most of your health is going to come from your charms just so you know..

bloodfist > magefist. bloodfist gives you 40 life, which gets multiplied and 30FHR which is huge in reaching 86fhr. magefist gives you +1 to fireclaws...that is all.

aldurs > gores. aldurs gives a huge life boost, lots of fire res and the max amount of FRW you can get on boots.

ps for the record, disregard anything Foolishpleazure has said so far. hes thinking of a fury wolf, not an fc druid.

Made those changes easily enough and it helps some...perhaps ill look into getting a better anni/dtorch. Any improvements for the chest slot or is valor the next best thing to enigma/CoH? Thanks for the input thus far, btw.

For PvM I'd recommend 4rth synergy. For pvp lycan
